PROJECT ONE-SELF EXPRESSION THROUGHBOBJECTS

The first project of the design studio make us familiar to elements and principals of visual art through designing a mask. A mask that reveals our most significant individual personality , whether it be for protection , disguise , pride, a performance or for entertainment. In making prototype of the mask through hand-on and process-driven design methods during studio sessions , we were given an opportunity to explore materials , joints, surfaces , form and positioning of the “mask” on the face and to generate in to apropiate scaling.
The objectives of this assignment are as follows:
1. To explore the elements and principles of art
2. To explore applying aforementioned principles to communicate subjective ideas through objects
3. To introduce the basic methods of generating ideas and abstracting conceptual narratives for Design
My Designed mask- The Mask of life
My design was generally about the life that I had experienced during these 19 years, so I designed a face that contains different parts and each part has a meanings, as an example the whole mask is in a blue color which means the life is blue, the color blue is coming from nature, it has the meaning of peace and calmness after that, one of the eyes are close and the other is open it means you should see everyone and everything from one eyes , and in my point of view there is no different between a poor or riches , or beautiful or ugly. The mouth is laughing it means in the life you have to smile to the problems and always be happy, the nose and the ear are white means the freshness and poorness , the guy has only one ear that means you have to remember and save all the information that you get , “bad or good” there is a snake around the open eye which has the meaning of danger and bad luck , that’s why it has the color of black and yellow to attract the attention , it is around the open eye to show that if you explore more and live longer you can face more problems in the life and danger is for the people who see around themselves, there are three white lines beside the snake to show the hope and dreams that even in the danger and bad luck there are many hopes for life , and at the end there is 3 green lines at the top of the head in the “V” shape to show the meaning of victory and it is on the top of the mask of life to give the point that everyone who live like this reaches the victory at the end.
Outcome:
This project was a great opportunity to let me explore my ideas and all of the thinking inside and bring it to the real life , share It with others and train how to make the ideas of inside my head to get the shape and be real.

PROJECT Two-Life Capsule
The main aim of Project 2 is to learn about the human body and the interaction on human body into the space. And explore that how does human body reacts totally and also in the small spaces as “Life Capsule” This has been done through designing a confined space which we call ‘Life Capsule’ for a 24-hour use. This limited space challenged us to thoroughly examine and consider anthropometry and ergonomics -body dimensions, body movements, human behaviours and user needs. Then progressed on to understand how the human body relates to space, and further developing an understanding of scale and proportion in the relationship between the body and space. This limited space has been useful for us to be creative, besides designing a good shape we had to think about the usage of human from the capsule and the needs.
The objectives of this assignment are as follows:
1. To further the student’s concern about elementary user needs
2. To introduce and create an awareness of scale and proportion of the human body
3. To introduce the role of human behavior in shaping the space
4. To explore how human anthropometry and ergonomics relating to space
ARTILUS-The Life Capsule

Artius is carefully designed to function as the ideal space for an artist allowing indoor as well as an outdoor space to practice their skills, a foldable bed is installed to maximize movements from minimal usage of space. The widows are placed in optimal positions allowing day light to light up the capsule and also on the working table, A library space is carved inside the walls to maximize space and efficiency while standing and moving about inside. Also there is an space under the capsule for the drawing tapble or any other usable stuff , they can easily use that storage and take the stuff out of it. even while drawing the person has a amazing view that can inspire from the outdoor view for his/her drawings.

PROJECT Three-Part(A)
The Mystery space (Temple)

outcomes :
This project had many benefits and outcomes as an example, exploring objective parameters of design process through solving real-life architecture problems. Also being able to distinguish the scales and proportion between the human body and the design space, understanding the human body proportions human needs for 24 hours and also designing in a limited space is a good challenge for every designer and architects to show their advantages ever others.
In this part of the project (Part A) we were working on exploring several design principles, materializing some meanings and ‘reading’ architectural designs in a series of design tasks and studio based group exercises. However we had to consider all of those aspects that we have learned on project one and two, we had to design a space more like a temple that has a story line, and we can see the entrance gate then the walking and corridor part, and then the main space that attracts the notice of everyone.
The objectives of this assignment are as follows:
1.To understand and apply basic design principles and terminologies
2. Develop design skills through analysis and ‘reading’ existing buildings
3. To further the student’s ability to create and develop a conceptual narrative
Mystery space (Temple)
We have learned many aspects during the project one and two and we brought it to this project as well , we had to have a design which has a narrative and we had to force people to react in the building how we wished , so we made the walls of the gate a little bit move inside so it can force and show people that you have to enter from here , after that we had some stairs that step by step would bring the people up to the level of the main building and also those Rhombic shape of the stairs brings them to the main part , at the main part we played with the roof and lighting , and with those shapes we created an amazing lighting for the main part of our building.
Outcomes:
Over all this building had a good story telling and this project was good practice for our final assignment.

Project Three-Part(B)
Dreamscape for the self
Part B of the project 3, the final project of the Design studio one, was about a choosing a client (for example a celebrity or a VIP) the get well known and well information about the person and the get known about the person’s needs and desires then regarding to project one, two and also first part of the project 3 and following the aspects, we had to design a dream house, office or space for the target person. Parameters and principals of the design was very important in this project.
The objectives of this assignment are as follows:
1. To understand and apply basic design principles and terminologies
2. Develop design skills through analysis and ‘reading’ existing buildings
3. To further the student’s ability to create and develop a conceptual narrative
4. To be able to consider objective and subjective parameters in the design process to create a space
My concept " NATURELAX "
My special client was an Iranian film director “Asghar farhadi” who has won the Oscar in the best foreign language film on 2012. He was born in Isfahan and he got his BA in there , but for MA he moved to the capital city and studied in “Tehran university” he was a making some short films and documentaries during he was studying , but suddenly one of the best Iranian film director liked one of his screen writings and asked him for making a movie together , after that Farhadi became a well-known person and character and after that sharply he started to go up and show himself to the world , his last Iranian movie “A separation” got an Oscar and his last movie “The past” was one of the nominees but couldn’t get the Oscar two years in a row , he is really interested in Nature and history mostly historical books , moreover he even wants to make a movie about the past 50 years of Iran and the Islamic revolution , that is how I decided to design an office for him which brings the idea of this person and hic career at the first , and also be a special building for a special person. I inspired from the “movie Reels”, and during the process I tried to keep that inspiration and do not ruin the first idea of the building, but at the same time develop my design and solve my mistakes and disadvantages of my design. so at the end I designed an office that contains all aspects and principals of previous projects which I learned well, and also sum up those projects with an special idea and design, this building has a corridor and roofs with some parts that plays with the nature lights, also the as far as the building had a round shape, the benefit of circle is that it has a center and brings the attention to the center of the building so I brought the Nature to the center of it. Also it contains on VIP Cinema and VIP library that specializes this building for my dream client.
Outcomes:
As a result in this project all of the previous projects had been used and combined together to bring a great architectural understanding of building and designing a special spaces and building for a dream client.
